Home was never a dream for homeless people as they used to have their homes. Living in a home was their reality. Now we need to help them to find the lost reality – again.

Shelter / Rent

Over 4 million Afghan people are internally displaced. About 80% of displaced people are women and girls. These numbers do not take into account the 250,000 Afghans who are annually displaced due to environmental disasters.

REESHA is convinced that shelter is at the core of human dignity. REESHA provides shelter to internally displaced people and families living in extreme poverty by subsidizing the cost of monthly rental payments. This lifts families out of homelessness and reduces their vulnerability to harsh environments and extreme weather, allowing them to spend time looking for long-term, stable employment and sources of income, instead of resorting to extreme measures like organ selling.
