The greatest sin is to do nothing because you can only do a little.

Health

Afghanistan’s health system is on the verge of collapse. 9.5% of the Afghan population faces severe, acute malnutrition, an all-time high. Due to a shortage of healthcare workers and the low quality of existing health services, only 20 to 30 percent of women and children receive the life-saving care they need. Many resort to drugs to treat pain; around 11% of Afghans use narcotic drugs.

REESHA is convinced that health is the foundation of every person’s life. REESHA covers medical bills for our beneficiaries, allowing parents and caregivers to take care of their children, seek jobs and gain self-sufficiency. Covering children’s healthcare needs provides children with the physical and mental well-being crucial for physical growth and thriving at school. When proper medical support is given, the rate of drug abuse falls, health outcomes improve, and people can pursue their dreams without medical issues getting in the way.
